Online poker has become world acclaimed lately, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game shows. The games popularity, though, stretches back quite a bit further than its TV ratings. Over the years numerous variants on the earliest poker game have been developed, including some games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with vingt-et-un than long-standing poker, in that the players bet against the bank instead of each other. The succeeding hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is little bluffing or other types of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up prior to the croupier saying "No further wagers." At that point, both you and the bank and of course all of the different gamblers acquire 5 cards. Once you have seen your hand and the casino’s 1st card, you have to in turn make a call wager or surrender. The call bet’s amount is on same level to your original ante, indicating that the stakes will have increased two fold. Abandoning means that your bet goes immediately to the house. After the bet comes the face off. If the dealer does not have ace/king or better, your bet is given back, including an amount equal to the original wager. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand is greater than the bank’s hand. The bank pony’s up chips equal to your ante and controlled expectations on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • 3-1 for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
