Internet Big Stakes Poker- Gus Hansen

February 25th, 2021 at 8:25

Gus Hansen experienced an amazing year on the World Poker Tour where he was the only player to make it to the last table in 3 of the tournaments. Gus Hansen has been seen on High Stakes Poker on GSN where he bought into the game for $400, 000. You may recall one of the largest pots in high stakes poker history against Daniel Negreanu. Hansen raked in a big pot with quads against Negreanu’s full house. Gus has earned many televised poker appearances and is thought to be one of the best bettors anywhere in the world. While competing in web poker, another side of Hansen has appeared. He frequently participates in the 200/400 No Limit max buy in of $40, 000. Gus more often than not buys in for the minimum of Sixteen Thousand dollars and gambles very poorly. He waits patiently for a decent hand and then pushes all-in. I know Gus is an outstanding poker player but certainly not even close to the regular players at 200/400no limit. Unless he is flat broke, he has little or no reason to settle at the game with the min buy in.

Buying in for the min takes a majority of the expertise out of deep stack poker. Hansen is assumed to be 1 of the greatest players anywhere in the world but he cannot buy in for the total amount. I believe television can alter our view of the real world sometimes. The greatest players in the world might just be guys you have will not have heard of before. Gus can be seen gambling on web poker on Full Tilt. He normally competes in high stakes omaha high and texas hold’em. Gus Hansen has shown himself as a competition player. Can he use his talents in money rounds?
