Caribbean Poker Rules and Pointers

Poker has become world celebrated lately, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. The games popularity, though, arcs back in fact a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years several types on the first poker game have been created, including some games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling chemin de fer than traditional poker, in that the players wager against the dealer instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little conniving or different kinds of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up before the dealer broadcasting "No further wagers." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course every one of the different gamblers acquire five cards. After you have observed your hand and the dealer’s first card, you need to in turn make a call wager or give up. The call wager’s value is equal to your beginning ante, which means that the risks will have increased two fold. Bowing out means that your wager goes directly to the casino. After the wager is the face off. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, plus a sum equal to the original wager. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or better, you win if your hand beats the bank’s hand. The dealer pony’s up chips even with your ante and set expectations on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • three to one for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
