No-Limit Hold’em Poker- Howard Lederer?

Howard Lederer lived in a family of 5 where he liked playing different card games at a young age. He found himself becoming really aggressive in these card games while competing against his dad. After graduating from secondary school, Howard made a decision to put college on hold for a little bit and relocated to New York to compete in some formidable chess. While playing chess, he was brought in to a poker game taking place in the back of the room. Howard’s initial two years were difficult as he would play many hours and lose a majority of the time. He made some additional cash by being an assistant for the poker enthusiasts. He believed he could improve his game by analyzing his life outside of poker. He made an effort to acquire more sleep and concentrate more on poker.

The definite improvement in his game happened when he began wagering at the Mayfair Club in New York. The Mayfair was a bridge and backgammon club where the greatest players would often challenge each other. Howard had access into several of the foremost players in chess. With their assistance, he would sharpen his cunning thinking techniques. He applied these strategic ideas to the game of NL texas hold’em.

Howard also assisted his sister Annie Duke master the game of poker. She was a superb student of poker as she constantly asked questions about the right way to make the correct choice. Howard Lederer told Annie to move out to Las Vegas and play in the WSOP competition. Annie Duke is one of the best women players the poker world ever. He moved to Las Vegas in 1993 and participated in cash games for the successive decade. When the World Poker Tournament gained popularity, Howard decided to participate in more tournaments.
